Call To Create
The Call to Create (C2C) began as a pilot project inviting several thinkers & makers, moving through different stages of their artistic & spiritual paths, to work in community. Half of the cohort was from Boston, MA—others called California, Kentucky, Maryland and New York home. The efforts of this group were celebrated in November 2019 during our first open studio, the lessons & the victories inspired our community and encouraged a renewed commitment to the vision of C2C.
In the 2nd iteration of C2C it is clear how this work acknowledges the long haul of movement-making, the ever present urgency for Black liberation, and need for sustainability. We are interrogating a new guiding question with thinkers & makers who applied to be apart of the process in February 2020. This 2020 cohort, all local to Boston, have a framework to lean on, while still operating amid the nuances of an idea moving from its pilot stage.
